Is it a bird, is it a plane? NO! It's the Anderson boys!

Dressing up at our house is as standard as using the bathroom - oh wait, maybe even more so. (Ahem.) Anyway, here are the boys showing off Andrew's new cape from Grandma Jensen, along with some pretty sweet moves.

No time is better than now...

I have been wanting to start a blog for quite some time. All the time I think - I need to write that down! - about all sorts of things throughout the day. For some reason this seems like an easier medium than finding my journal and wearing out my little-used hand muscles. So here is the beginning of it all! (I guess beside the few other pics Mike already threw up).

Today we went on a "hike" about 5 miles long, to make good use of the beautiful weather. We took Poppy and Kris - Mike's dad and brother - with us. The boys loved hearing all of Poppy's survival trivia, (what would YOU do if you needed to climb a tall tree that's branches were few and far between, to get an idea of your location?), and had a great time running ahead and hiding in the trees with Kris. Andy truly delighted in our acting surprised each time they jumped out.

As we sat down to take a break and have a few snacks, Jake caught everyone up on what was happening in Savage Sam, the sequel to Old Yeller. The phrases he uses are right from the book. In fact, the other day he ran out back where Andrew and a neighbor kid were having lots of fun and asked "what's all tha hollerin' about?"

Michael's Christmas Gift

Jenny and Michael each received a painting that Grandma
Anderson painted of them when they were younger.

This is Jacob with a new Castle he got for Christmas
